HCF Grants

Edith H. Turner Foundation Fund

Purpose

The Edith H. Turner Foundation Fund was established in memory of Edith H. Turner, a lifelong City of Hamilton resident and only child of Sarah Jane and George A. Turner, a developer in the north east Hamilton. Edith H. Turner died in 1983.

The purpose and goal of the Edith H. Turner Foundation Fund is to assist and provide funds in the fields of education, health, humanities and social development in the City of Hamilton and its immediate area.

Priorities & Criteria

For 2008-09, grantmaking priority for the fund will be:

We recognize that the healthy development of children incorporates many facets and involves multiple sectors such as education, the arts recreation, the environment and health and human services. The maximum amount per grant is $10,000.

Please note that for 2008-09 the fund will not be accepting applications for capital campaign requests.
