The purpose of this fund is to foster innovative research in community health that will make a significant difference in the lives of people living in Hamilton, by making a it healthy place for all to live, learn and work.

The Fund has a particular interest in community health research that is focused on respiratory health. Additional priorities include:
Proposals are invited from community organizations, agencies and institutions in the City of Hamilton that have an interest in innovative community health research and are registered charitable organizations. (This includes hospitals, colleges and universities, community health centres, community agencies, and consumer organizations.)
For 2010-11, it is anticipated that approximately $60,000 will be available to support 2-4 projects ranging from $10,000 to $20,000.
