HCF Grants
Youth-Led Projects
Purpose
HCF's Youth Advisory Council ("YAC") provides grants to youth involved projects within Hamilton through its Youth in Philanthropy Fund. The Youth Advisory Council is a diverse group of young people who represent a cross section of the City of Hamilton. The YAC is dedicated to youth empowerment, the promotion of youth leadership and the strengthening of youth involvement in the community.
Protecting Our Environment Together ("POET") Youth Focus Grants
Grants are provided for youth initiated and led projects that focus on the environment.
Focus areas are:
- Air quality
- Water quality
- Waste reduction and management
- Energy consumption
- Protection of natural areas and corridors
Grant application forms will be sent to each school as it registers for Living the Environment, the youth conference at Mohawk College held each fall.
