Living the Environment 5 ran on October 15 at the STARRT Institute, Mohawk College’s Stoney Creek Campus at 481 Barton Street. A highlight was The Otesha Project, a youth-run charitable organization that uses theatre to mobilize young people to create local and global change through their everyday consumer choices. This group cycled into Hamilton as part of their Fall Ontario tour. Other highlights of the day included workshops featuring interesting new project ideas for schools, music by Peak Soil at noon, an HSR bus on site for demonstrations of how to load bikes on their racks, and lots of door prizes and draws.
